One person found this helpful. This is an ultra-classic. It is at times awkward to mix comedy in with a war movie and have the movie still be tasteful.

Anyway, this movie does humor ok. It shows the horrors of war, the brutality, the killing and lack of morality while presenting believable and real characters.

Telly Savalas runs is the best, but they all bring it. The witty repartee between the contrasting characters, the offbeat underlying humor mainly aimed at officers and some over top performances make this an all time 5 start classic.

One of Eastwood's best! Just watched this again for the first time in about 20 years. Just a fun movie that doesn't take itself too seriously of course the story is nowhere close to true, but don't want to add any spoilers for Gens X Y Millenials etc.

We were looking for things to watch on July 4th to try and drown out the sound of fireworks. We have a dog who is terrified of the noise from fireworks.

We knew that Kelly's Heroes would fit that bill. We saw it originally when it first came out, in the movie theater, on the big screen.

We've seen bits and pieces of it off and on on TV in the ensuing decades. We really enjoyed sitting down and watching the entire movie again.

In der Zeit als die Kriegsfilme noch politisch unkorrekt sein durften, schuf Brain G. Hutton zwei unverwechselbare Actionfilme. Die Filmidole der Kino Ära spielten das es nur so eine Freude war und übertrugen dies auch auf den Zuschauer.

Zu der Story muss ich nichts mehr sagen, der Film ist Kult. Die Blu-Ray ist bildtechnisch einwandfrei weist aber hin und wieder einige Tearings und Flackermuster auf.

Die DVD war nun eigentlich schon vorzeigbar der Film ist immerhin über vierzig Jahre alt und lässt einen Vergleich recht dünn erscheinen.

Kurzum man muss sie nicht kaufen, was Puristen so wie mich nicht abhalten sollte, dennoch eine Blick auf die Disc zu werfen. Absolut lustiges Erlebnis.
